The teaching is mainly carried out at the School of Computer Science, although some professors of the Department participate as well in the degrees of Environmental Sciences and the Geodesy Engineering and Cartography.. The DLSIIS also has its own doctoral programs and joint doctoral programs with Ibero-American universities.
The Research Master of DLSIIS owns the Mention of Quality awarded by the Ministry of Education and Science in the course 2006/07 (Ref. MCD2006-00306) and renewed until the course 2009/10. Mention of Quality ("Mención de Calidad") is a recognition of the groups and departments that develop the doctoral formation.
The "Facultad de Informática" at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid is the school with more experience and prestige in the teaching of Computer Science and Computer Engineering in Spain. It is situated in a natural environment, which enables a dynamic university life, reflected in the performance of many events and activities, both on scientific-technical and cultural or leisure areas.
The UPM is a University of reference in the teaching of engineering and architecture in Spain, valued internationally because of the quality of its teaching programs and the research developed at its facilities.
